FNMK started as a voluntary gathering of museum people including Sun-Woo CHOI, former director of National Museum of Korea in the early 1970s. In 1981, FNMK was established as a foundation and has offered the promotion of cultural assets, community education, field trips, volunteer works, and membership activities. With the passionate support of museum enthusiasts, FNMK became National Museum of Korea’s sponsoring foundation promoting the spread of the traditional culture of Korea and providing support for exhibitions, research, and education of the Museum.

We would like to take our vision a step further to be an eligible foundation as Asia’s leading museum based on our experience and network. A newly reformed website is expected to bridge FNMK and other sponsoring organizations in local areas and overseas countries and to deepen our friendships. We will continue to excel in providing diverse content and better service for all of the members’ convenience. For our contribution to the improvement of giving culture and creating museum to be a multi-cultural complex, your continuous interest and support would be much appreciated.
